Kuari pass trek is also a well known and most recommended trek for beginners in Garhwal Himalayas Uttarakhand, located at height of 4268 meters (12,200 feet). It is amongst the best in the Garhwal Mountains and it is at the center of one of the most remarkable regions of Garhwal Himalayas Uttarakhand known for its unique grandeur. The alpine meadows and unprecedented views of mountains of Kuari Pass have been attracting trekkers from around the globe. It is also known as The Curzon Trail Trek (Lord George Curzon is the former British Viceroy of India). It gives you spectacular views of the Nanda Devi sanctuary and snow-capped peaks that extend into Tibet. The Kuari pass trek is for mountain lovers that offers king size views of Himalayan Mountains and an opportunity to be transported into inner Himalayas in a very short duration. The Kuari pass is used extensively by the local shepherds and gives you a full view of the splendid Himalayas.
Chaukhamba Range in north of the Kuari Pass and the summits of Mana (7272 m), Abl Gamin (7355 m) and Kamet (7756 m) extend to the Tibet border gives you the views the Indian Himalayas. Many beautiful forest sections, sunrise - sunsets and magnificent campsites in Kuari Pass trekking are worthwhile activities and provides an opportunity to meet and interact with shepherds and their entourage. It is moderate and challenging to climb to the top of the world when you summit Pangarchulla peak at about 4700 meters. It is challenging but technically easy and can be climbed by ‘fit’ first time trekkers too and you can explore the surroundings from there. It is optional to attempt to climb the Pangarchulla peak and you can see the enchanting views of the Himalayan landscape. This trek also provides an opportunity to walk through the lush meadows and tall, dense forests and enjoyable facets of Himalayas.

DAY 01 : DEHRADUN - AULI OR JOSHIMATH - CHITRAGANTA
Distance- 295 km / Altitude- 3310 meters Chitraganta
We start journey from Dehradun to Joshimath. Joshimath is hub for tourists traveling to Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib. We will stay in camp at Chitraganta. We start drive from Dehradun to Joshimath and trek from Joshimath to Chitraganta. You can see the beautiful views of Chaukhamba from the camp.
DAY 02 : CHITRAGANTA - KUARI PASS - DAKWANI
Distance- 14 km / Altitude- 3640 meters Kuari Pass / Trek Time- 5 hrs
On the next day, the trek start and passes through the meadows and leads to the ridge above Chitraganta. It will give you the views of 7000m peaks to the Tibet. Rest in a camp.
DAY 03 : DAKWANI – GHANGRI
Distance- 16 km / Altitude- 2000 meters Ghangri / Trek Time- 7 hrs
The trail passes through the stream using the wooden bridge and then follows a long descent towards Birthi Ganga. We have to walk through the oak, silver birch and rhodendron trees. Cross the Birthi Ganga over the suspension bridge towards the Ghangri, a village with a rest house and a school.
DAY 04 : ROUTE: GHANGRI – RAMNI
Distance- 15 km / Altitude- 2550 meters Ramni / Trek Time- 6 hrs
On the next day, from Ghangri the trail goes wooded ridge at 2900m. The ridge divides the Birthi and Nandakini valley. The path goes through a gradual descent to Ramni and you can see the path leading to Kanol and Roop Kund in this path. The Ramni has some lodges and dhabas.
DAY 05 : ROUTE: RAMNI - GHAT
Distance- 15 km / Altitude- 1330 meters Ramni
The path we follow from Ramni to Ghat through the village. Descend to the Nandakini and after crossing the bridge we reach at the marker at Ghat..
