Kuari pass trek is also a well known and most recommended trek for beginners in Garhwal Himalayas Uttarakhand, located at height of 4268 meters (12,200 feet). It is amongst the best in the Garhwal Mountains and it is at the center of one of the most remarkable regions of Garhwal Himalayas Uttarakhand known for its unique grandeur. The alpine meadows and unprecedented views of mountains of Kuari Pass have been attracting trekkers from around the globe. It is also known as The Curzon Trail Trek (Lord George Curzon is the former British Viceroy of India). It gives you spectacular views of the Nanda Devi sanctuary and snow-capped peaks that extend into Tibet. The Kuari pass trek is for mountain lovers that offers king size views of Himalayan Mountains and an opportunity to be transported into inner Himalayas in a very short duration. The Kuari pass is used extensively by the local shepherds and gives you a full view of the splendid Himalayas.
Chaukhamba Range in north of the Kuari Pass and the summits of Mana (7272 m), Abl Gamin (7355 m) and Kamet (7756 m) extend to the Tibet border gives you the views the Indian Himalayas. It will give you different experience from anything else. Many beautiful forest sections, sunrise - sunsets and magnificent campsites in Kuari Pass trekking are worthwhile activities and provides an opportunity to meet and interact with shepherds and their entourage. It is moderate and challenging to climb to the top of the world when you summit Pangarchulla peak at about 4700 meters. It is challenging but technically easy and can be climbed by ‘fit’ first time trekkers too and you can explore the surroundings from there. It is optional to attempt to climb the Pangarchulla peak and you can see the enchanting views of the Himalayan landscape. This trek also provides an opportunity to walk through the lush meadows and tall, dense forests and enjoyable facets of Himalayas.

DAY 01 : Dehradun - Joshimath
[ Elevation- 2450 M / Drive- 280 Kms / Time- 8 to 9 hrs / Stay in the guesthouse ]
This trail does not pose any risks and tricky sections. First day, we will start our drive from dehradun to Auli or Joshimath via the holy towns of Devprayag and Rudraprayag. The drive along the Ganga & Alaknanda Rivers is long and interesting. We will stay overnight in guesthouse.
DAY 02 : Joshimath - Auli - Gurson Meadow - Tali
[ Trek - 5 to 6hrs / Stay in the tent ]
On the next day, the trek starts from Joshimath to Tali and passes through the meadows and leads to the ridge above Tali via Auli & Gurson Meadow. At Auli, you will see a distinct profile of Nanda Devi at the head of the sanctuary and pass through the forests of oak and rhododendron to reach the Gurson Meadow. From the Gurson Meadow to Tali trek will give you the beautiful views of peaks at 7000m. We will stay overnight in the camp at Tali.
DAY 03 : Tali - Gailgad/Pangarchulla Base Camp Kuari Pass and Back to Gailgad
[2nd half trek / 1.5hrs trek]
On the next day, we will walk in high trail (ridge) to reach the Pangarchulla Base Camp and Kuari Pass. Today’s trek will give you the gorgeous views of Nanda Devi, Drona giri, chandrashil, Hathi parvat, ghodi parvat and Alpine meadow etc. The trek will pass through the shadres devdara tree forest and stream. We will stay overnight in the tent.
DAY 04 : Gailgad - Pangarchula Summit - Back to Base Campsite
Today’s trek of Pangarchula Summit will be excited and will give you the 360 degree views of the Indian Himalayas. Trek starts from Gailgad and reach the Pangarchula Summit and then back to the campsite. Today we will walk in ridge of pangarchulla peak and Snow Moraine and enjoy the natural beauty of the Himalayas. We will stay overnight in the tent.
DAY 05 : Gailgad -Khulara - Karchi Village - Dhak - Joshimath
[Trek- 5-6 hrs / Drive- 1 hour / Stay in the guesthouse]
On the next day, we starts journey early in the morning to Joshimath from Gailgad. Today’s journey from Gailgad to Joshimath via Khulara, Karchi Village, and Dhak includes one hour drive and 5-6 hours trek. We will pass through the interesting forest sections and couple of scenically located villages. This journey will be very interesting.
DAY 06 : Joshimath - Haridwar[8-9hrs drive]
After breakfast drive down to Haridwar from Joshimath and this will be the end of this beautiful trek.
